New Year New Brands!

New Year, New Brands!

Hello to 2024 and it’s all change at LWB HQ… we’ve said goodbye to two brands and hello to two!

Last Autumn brought with it the shocking news that Bunty’s was to cease trading due to undue market pressures, such a sad end to a truly fabulous family-run brand, and a change of terms at Cornish Milk Mineral Paint meant we had to say adieu.

It has however provided the opportunity to stock two more amazing UK brands, It’s So Chic Furniture Art and PolyOnlay!

Cindy of It’s So Chic is a multi-award winning Furniture Refinishing Artist and in her spare(!) time, created an incredible supplementary range of products, from decoupage papers and stencils to her newest and trademarked product, Furniture Tattoos®️. It’s such a huge range they’re not all listed as yet so if you want something you can’t see, please get in touch! Personal faves are the animal-as-people decoupage papers, so fun and quirky and such good quality, they can be framed as art work for your wall!

PolyOnlay I first encountered back in 2021 at the very first Furniture Painting Business Conference and it stuck in my mind as such a great product, I’m so happy to add it to Little White Bird’s offering. This clever product is an innovative type of onlay (appliqué) made from very strong and flexible wood pulp product and yet only 0.9mm thick! They’re water-resistant, work with any medium and flexible… ideal for adding embellishments to furniture, craft projects or art work. So you can add art deco corners to cupboards, decorative trim to fascia or fun shapes to enhance your arts and crafts projects!

MINT by Michelle, Decoupage Papers extraordinaire!

MINT by Michelle, Decoupage Papers extraordinaire!

If you’re a furniture upcycler and love decoupage, these papers are for you! MINT decoupage papers are all designed especially with furniture art and refurbishment in mind.

MINT was created by Michelle (who is self-described as a fanatical furniture revamper!) in 2016. Michelle loves furniture, fabric and colour, in that order, and was driven to create beauty of her own, in this range of functional and accessible art.

The optimum paper size, gsm and print have all been painstakingly curated personally by Michelle and is a culmination of years of working with decoupage papers, and refurbishing furniture with individuality, style and artistic scope in mind. They are happily made and manufactured in beautiful Victoria, Australia.

The range covers many genres, from Renaissance Art to Impressionism to Surrealism, there’s something for everyone!

And there are now six designs available as reverse images: Geisha, Madam La Fevre, Sepia Horses, Study in Black & Green, White Swan, and Young Girl Reading so you can have great fun with mirror-imaging if you wish!

Last but by no means least, do not forget to check out the MINT by Michelle/Grace on Design ‘Artists First’ Transfer Collab whilst you’re here… as soon as I saw them, I HAD to stock them - just beautiful!
